Ridge Meadow Racer Matthias Daniels took 1st place at the BC Winter Games Zone 3 qualifier this past Nov. 3, 2019. Daniels & Finley Ludeman were the Ridge Meadows Racer that competed for 3 available spots to represent the Fraser Valley in the BC Winter Games that will be held in Fort St. John in Feb 20-23rd 2020. Daniels finished first in all the distances and posted personal best in his and 400m (45.63) and took 4 seconds off his 1500m time (2:53.91). Ludeman also skated well finishing 5th place with personal best in this 1500m (3:05.88) taking 6 seconds off this previous time and 400m (47.32). Daniels will be joined by 2 other skaters from the Fraser Valley Zone, Theory Havelka (Langley Blades) and Arthur Barnesdale (Mission Racers) . The two female skaters that will be also part of the Fraser Valley zone 3 team is Beth Smith (Langley Blades) and Mya Onos (Sardis Flyers).
